Abby Lee Miller shares latest update on battle with cancer

Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller revealed on Monday that she was close to finishing her cancer treatment. She took to social media to share a picture of herself smiling and holding up five fingers.

On her Instagram caption, she revealed that she was starting her third cycle of chemotherapy on that day. After Monday’s treatment, the star will only have one more cycle left.

This week, Abby Lee Miller, 51, shared the latest update on her battle with Burkitt Lymphoma which is a form of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Later in the day, she posted a selfie where she was seen wearing a hospital gown.

It’s assumed that she was undergoing her chemotherapy treatment at that moment. On Saturday, the star posted a video of where she was seen getting emotional as she sat outdoors in her wheelchair while Mackenzie Sol serenaded her.

‘I bet I’m the only patient who gets Serenaded between Physical Therapy! Thank you [Sol] for lifting my spirits and making me forget my ailments for a while!’ the star captioned the clip.

On Friday, she revealed she was learning to walk again in physical therapy after multiple spinal surgeries. Her health problems began after she underwent emergency back surgery in April.

Dr. Hooman M. Melamed said at a time that they found it wasn’t a spinal infection but cancer. Melamed is an orthopedic spine surgeon at Cedar Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital who has been treating the star.

Despite her battle with the disease, Miller has already secured her next career move after her recovery. The star is set to return for season 8 of Dance Moms.

The show was originally canceled by Lifetime following her initial diagnosis.
