Janet Jackson pays tribute to Tupac with pics and videos from their movie together

For the 25th anniversary of their movie together, Janet Jackson paid tribute to her friend and co-star Tupac by posting memorable photos and a video of them together.

For fans of "Poetic Justice", the on-screen chemistry between Janet Jackson and Tupac is just unforgettable. However, prior to their scenes, Janet was also linked with Q-Tip, who granted Revolt an interview a while back.

In the interview, he revealed that while he enjoyed his kissing scene with Janet, they shot it 11 times and the conditions in which they were shooting was not ideal.

It was 1992 and Rodney King's police brutality case had just reached a verdict, and there had been unrest on the streets. Because of that, the actors had to stay on set, and Tip and Janet both got sick.

He also revealed that prior to Janet and Tupac filming their romantic scenes, Jackson requested him to take an AIDS test.

"I don’t know what that decision was on her part to be like, ‘He has to get a AIDS test', but she was definitely, ‘Well, if I’m going to kiss with him, he definitely has to.’”

Q-Tip reveals that Tupac was extremely upset and insulted by the request. When he and the rest of the boys headed to his trailer that night, he went off about the absurd request of the pop diva.

“Me and the [expletive] was talking about it in his trailer. And he was like, ‘Don’t you know, they asked me to take a [expletive] AIDS! test! [expletive] was hot. He was hot. I was like, ‘Word?’ He was like, ‘I could see if I was [going to do an intimate scene], then I’d understand. But the scene ain’t none of [that.]’.”

During an interview with Vlad TV, Tupac's brother Mopreme Shakur confirmed that Janet's reported request actually did happen.

While this might have been an issue years back, Jackson has made sure to set aside all hard feelings and pay tribute to her co-star during their successful film's 25th anniversary.
