Pierce Brosnan celebrates 25 years of marriage with emotional message to beloved wife

Pierce Brosnan shared an emotional message for his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary.

The James Bond actor took to Instagram to share a snapshot of himself and his wife locking eyes in an emotional moment and captioned it with a sweet message of love. ‘Thank you for the love my love of these past 25 years, onwards...’ he wrote.

The couple is one of the most adored pairs in Hollywood with their longstanding relationship taken as one of the inspirational journeys of love and marriage.

When they met for the first time, Brosnan revealed that he knew instantly that there was something different about Keely.

People quoted him as explaining in an interview why he was attracted toward her in the first place. "I love her vitality, her passion. She has this strength that I wouldn't be able to live without. When Keely looks at me, I go weak."

The duo has always managed to find time for each other, no matter how busy they might be. The time spent with each other is one of the keys to their relationship, as per Brosnan.

"My wife and I took a short road trip up to Santa Barbara - we were going for a romantic weekend and to look at houses and drink great wine,” he told People. “We didn't listen to any music, but we just listened to the sounds of each other's voices and sorted out the world."

The couple’s love was also evident when Brosnan shared a selfie with his wife only a week ago. They had just arrived in the U.S. to celebrate the release of the Mama Mia! sequel, when he decided to share a moment of his life with his fans.

Brosnan and Shaye Smith got married in Ireland in August 2001. Together, they share two sons – 21-year-old Dylan and 17-year-old Paris.
