'Waiting to Exhale's Lela Rochon stuns in black gown posing with daughter on her 16th birthday

The actress is also a proud mother of a teenage daughter. When her daughter had celebrated a milestone birthday, she decided to pull out all the stops to make it a particularly special occasion for her.

Lela Rochon, most known for her breakout role as Robin Stokes in the1995 romantic drama film Waiting to Exhale, decided her 16-year-old daughter Asia Rochon Fuqua deserved the birthday of her life for her sweet 16 celebration.

So the pair jetted off from California to Paris, France, where they enjoyed the day in true style, even dressing up in the evening.

Rochon took to her Instagram account to share a lovely photo of herself and Asia standing on the iconic Eiffel Tower with the backdrop of the city behind them.

"Happy Sweet 16 to my precious baby girl @asiarochon Making her birthday wishes come true in #paris France. She’s earned this trip and more. Beautiful, kind, confident and smart! We love you to pieces pretty girl." she captioned the beautiful shot.

In the image, Rochon wore a black dress with cutouts on her shoulders, and a v-neck cut at her chest. The dress was tight, hugging her hips and showing off her curvy shape. She also wore a pair of silver chandelier earrings.

Asia opted for a red fitted dress that also showed off her curves, with a ruffle on the shoulders. She wore a pair of gold drop earrings, and had a gold chain around her neck.

The mother-daughter duo are close, with Rochon regularly sharing photos of herself with Asia. Another image showed the two embracing at the beach, looking relaxed during spring break.

"Holding her tight while I can.. they grow up too fast," she wrote in the caption.

Another image the proud mama shared saw her daughter on a runway, wearing a stunning soft pink dress with a full skirt, and a matching pair of heels.

The event was a fundraiser to support the Ladylike Foundation in helping and empowering girls from underprivileged communities to reach their potential.

Asia looked absolutely stunning in the image, with a confident look on her face as she swished her skirt and struck a pose at the end of the catwalk.

Asia is Rochon's oldest child with her husband, American film director and producer Antoine Fuqua. The couple married in 1999, and also share a 14-year-old son, Brando Rochon Fuqua.
