'DWTS' officially presented new 'Juniors' judges
Dancing with the Stars: Juniors is premiering this fall on ABC and the judges have just been revealed moments ago. Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, choreographer Mandy Moore, and DWTS pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy are all going to be sitting at the judges' table.
The first-ever Dancing With the Stars: Juniors will air on ABC on Sunday, Oct. 7. The new show will feature celebrity kids paired with younger professional dancers, and while we don't know the cast yet, we do know the judges for the series.
On Monday, July 30, Good Morning America welcomed the three of them — Adam Rippon, Val Chermkovskiy, and Mandy Moore.
Moore’s resumé is stacked with accomplishments, and with DWTS: Juniors in the horizon, she doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The 42-year-old admits that there’s a certain rush to working on live performance shows like this, telling Dance Magazine:
'So You Think You Can Dance
was one of my first jobs, so it feels like home. I love the chaos of live television; as soon as one show is over you’re on to the next.' Read more on our Twitter account@amomama_usa
All three stars are familiar with the DWTS world! Val has been a long time staple on the show, Adam actually won DWTS: Athletes last season, and Mandy has produced multiple routines over the years.
Moore is an Emmy Award-winning choreographer who is most known as the dancing genius behind some of the most famous musical numbers in the smash-hit La La Land.
Rippon is the reigning champ, having won the all-athletes season of DWTS in May. In addition to her work on the Oscar-winning musical, Moore has choreographed dozens of routines for the ABC reality show as well as for Fox's So You Think You Can Dance.
Chmerkovskiy is one of the professional dancers featured on the show. He most recently won the coveted trophy when he danced with Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez during Season 23 in 2016.
He also recently became engaged to fellow DWTS pro Jenna Johnson.
