Jennifer Lopez gets dragged after stepping out in white shirt-dress and denim thigh-high boots

The singer-songwriter and actress recently stepped out with an interesting take on the classic shirt and jeans look that so many women love to wear.

49-year-old Jennifer Lopez has been in New York City of late after returning from a holiday in the Bahamas where she celebrated her birthday last week. While in the Big Apple, she was photographed in an interesting outfit.

The Jenny From The Block singer was wearing what appeared to be a white button-down shirt that could easily have belonged to her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, and a pair of over-the-knee denim Versace boots.

The outfit seems to be a new twist on the old jeans and shirt look that so many others frequently pull out of the closet.

The shirt fell just below her buttocks, with the puffed sleeves at three-quarter length. She popped the collar of the shirt, and left the top few buttons unfastened. The heeled boots featured a pointed toe, and even had a "belt" around the cuffs.

She carried a small black handbag in her hand, and accessorized with a number of silver bracelets, silver hoop earrings, and a pair of large dark reflective sunglasses.

Plenty of fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the look, with most giving it a straight up thumbs-down.

"That outfit on the right is hideous! Those boots are ridiculous!" wrote one, with another adding: "Hehe looks ridiculous I am shocked she went outside looking like that LOL." Another even made a suggestion as to what the look reminded them of: "This looks makes it appear she's dragging or trying to pull up her pants."

Just a week ago Lopez was relaxing on a beach in the Bahamas, and took to her own Instagram to share a photograph of herself in a tiny black string bikini and a large straw hat, looking completely zoned out from the world.

She sat on a blue and white striped towel, with the waves lapping peacefully at the shoreline behind her.

"Island vibezzz... #vacaciones," she wrote, along with an island emoji.

At 49 years old, the Shades Of Blue actress looks absolutely incredible for her age. But it's no accident, and Lopez works hard to ensure she maintains her toned figure, often sharing photos of herself in her workout gear ready to sweat it out.

In early July, she shared an image of herself wearing bright white yoga pants and a white crop top, insisting on getting in some exercise despite the blazing heat outside at the time.

Lopez and Rodriguez have been loved up since they first started dating early in 2017, sharing plenty of cozy photos together. They moved in together fairly quickly, and are raising their blended family together.

Recently, the singer released a Spanish song - El Anillo - which roughly translates to asking where her ring is, and it's no secret she wants to get engaged to her beau.

A recent photo of herself and Rodriguez on her Instagram sparked rumors that the baseballer may have finally popped the question. The couple appear to be relaxing on a beach, and Lopez has a sparkler on her ring finger.
