My Heart Will Go On singer Celine Dion opened up about how she has been raising her sons after losing her husband in 2016.
Dion shared in an interview with The Sun that her top priority after her husband’s death was to get her children through the grieving process.
The powerhouse singer lost her husband, René Angélil, in January 2016 after battling cancer.
During the interview, Dion shared what her life has been like since she became the sole parent of her three sons, 16-year-old Rene-Charles, and six-year-old twins, Nelson and Eddy.

Speaking about her eldest, Dion said she was adamant in not putting pressure on her son to become the “chief of the house” especially at such a young age.
As for her twins, the singer said they had been closer than ever. She revealed she sleeps with the two young ones every night.
“I got myself a huge, huge, huge bed and I sleep with my twins. They are comforting me a lot. I need them. I need them close. And when it’s time for them to say they want their room, their room’s ready. But we watch a lot of TV together. I’m discovering Disney,” she said.
Dion revealed that she has been the symbol of strength for her sons, which made it easier for the boys to deal with the pain of their father’s death.
She also shared how her kids have been communicating with their father every night before going to bed, and how they write letters for him, put them in balloons to set them free towards the sky.
Angélil was Dion’s manager for more than three decades and they were married for 22 years up until his passing. He was 26 years older than her.
Dion said he was the only man he had ever loved and shared that she wasn’t ready yet to open her heart to someone else.
As for her career, Dion has maintained a residency in Las Vegas, performing at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace Hotel.
