The monarch had a very close relationship with her mother, who passed away in 2002 at the age of 101. The Queen and Meghan appear to have also built a bond.
The Duchess was invited to spend Christmas at Sandringham before she was even married to Prince Harry. She also traveled with the Queen to Cheshire a little over a month ago.
The pair spent a night together on a train. The outing marked a first for the Queen as the honor had never been bestowed upon Princes William, Harry, or Kate.
Meghan’s first birthday as a Royal was spent at a wedding of one of Prince Harry’s closest friends Charlie van Straubenzee. The wedding took place in Frensham in Surrey.
There Harry attended as best man. The couple was accompanied by Harry’s brother Prince William and his wife Kate.
