New co-host for 'The View' season 22 was reportedly revealed
With Paula Faris and Sara Haines both leaving "The View" to pursue other projects, it was time for a new face to join the team around the table.
As reported by TV Line, that new face is Abby Huntsman, formerly from "Fox & Friends Weekend" on Fox News Channel. Huntsman also worked with MSNBC and HuffPost Live.
The 32-year-old reporter will join current co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain, and Joy Behar during season 22 of the controversial talk show.
Huntsman began her career 16 years ago at "Good Morning America," while still a teenager. Read more about "The View" on our Twitter account, @amomama_usa.
When she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Huntsman interned for television journalist Diane Sawyer, gaining her respect as a reporter.
A decade after her "GMA" gig, Huntsman joined ABC News as a political commentator. A year later, she reached the 26th spot on the Forbes "30 Under 30" list.
Huntsman is a Republican and the daughter of former governor Jon Huntsman Jr. She made headlines a few years ago for appearing in an ad that supports gay marriage.
At the time, Huntsman said it was a "generational issue," and added:
"I think over time you're going to see more and more Republicans support the freedom to marry. I'm happy and proud of that movement."
She is also the author of "Who Will I Be?" The children's book will be released by Harper Collins in September and is illustrated by Joanne Lew-Vriethoff.
Behind the cameras, Huntsman has been married to Jeffrey Livingston since 2010, and the couple shares 8-month-old baby girl, Isabel.
Huntsman loves her dog Golden George so much that she dedicated an entire Instagram channel the cheerful pooch and his adventures.
The caption informs netizens that Golden George is a "big pup livin' in the Big Apple," but sadly the account hasn't been updated in the past two years.
