Ex 'The Talk' host Julie Chen returns to CBS as a presenter on another TV show

Julie Chen recently left the daytime show "The Talk" in September. She is now returning to CBS for another popular show.

The 48-year-old resigned from her position two months ago. It came one week after serious accusations of sexual misconduct against her husband Leslie Moonves.

Viewers were unsure as to Chen's place on television when she left the show. But the station confirmed that she will be returning to host the reality show "Big Brother: Celebrity Edition."

The second season of the show will premiere on January 21. Chen was the host of the show's first season. "Big Brother" features contestants altogether in one house.

Cameras follow the cast as they interact with each other and attempt to win challenges to remain in the house. The season will run for three weeks with episodes airing throughout each week.

The show's renewal was a given, but Chen's comeback was left in the wind since her dramatic exit.

In mid-September, Chen said in a pre-taped announcement at the end of the show:

"I have been at ‘The Talk’ since the day it started nine years ago and the cast, crew and staff have become family to me over the years. But right now, I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son, so I have decided to leave ‘The Talk.’”

Never having referenced her married name before on the show, she ended with, "I'm Julie Chen Moonves. Good night." Currently, the show is co-hosted by Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Sheryl Underwood and Eve.

Chen's husband Moonves was the former CEO of CBS. But his high position did not save him from 12 accusers. They alleged forceful kisses, indecent exposure and forced oral sex.

Yet Chen remained steadfast as she stood in support of her husband. On one segment of "The Talk," she said:

"Some of you may be aware of what's been going on in my life the past few days. I issued the one and only statement I will ever make on this topic on Twitter. And I will stand by that statement today, tomorrow, forever."

She described her husband as "a good man and loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader."

"He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand by him."

We assume that Chen remains grounded in support of her husband as she carries on with her career on "Big Brother." Fans of the show still await the names of the celebrity contestants who will appear in the next season.
