7 family members killed in a single accident on their way to Las Vegas
While on their way to Las Vegas, seven family members died in a head-on car collision in eastern Oregon. The driver of the other car also passed away.
On August 13, 2018, tragedy struck. 29-year-old Erika Boquet, her three children, 29-year-old Kyla Brown, and her two children passed away after their 2016 Toyota 4Runner was hit by a 1999 Toyota 4Runner driving on the other side of the road.
Oregon State Police revealed that the collision happened when the 1999 model crossed on the other lane and smashed into Boquet’s vehicle.
Everyone was pronounced dead on the scene, as revealed by the police in a statement.

Boquet took her kids Isabella, 11, Elizabeth, nine, and Tytis, six, along with Brown and her children Arianna, 10, and Xavier, two, on the road as they were supposedly headed to Las Vegas.
Brown was reported to be the girlfriend of Boquet’s father, Louis Johnson.

The family was driving from Washington and was supposed to meet Johnson in Las Vegas. At the time of the incident, which occurred around 10 a.m., Johnson was on a flight headed to Nevada.
On his Facebook page, the father and grandfather expressed his devastation over the accident.
“My heart hurts like it never hurt before. I have no answers to a 1000 whys. We lost 7 loved ones and the pain we feel is deep. I need to see the love I lost in you,” he wrote
Aside from Johnson, Boquet’s brother, Jessie Tate, also expressed his sentiments over the incident through an interview with The Oregonian.
Speaking with the publication, he said, “It’s a tragedy I wouldn’t wish on anyone else.”
Tate also set up a GoFundMe page to ask for donations to help with the funeral expenses.

As of now, the page has exceeded its 10,000-dollar goal and has raised over $60,000.
In another news, a mother woke up in the hospital after experiencing a terrible accident where she was told that she was the sole survivor of the crash.
