Mariah Carey 'scared' on vacation after shark comes near her yacht
Singer and songwriter Mariah Carey was spending time on her yacht when the predator made its appearance. She shared a video clip with her Instagram followers.
The post received more than 860,000 views in the short time it's been online, with more than 112,000 likes and 2,300 comments. Carey told her 7 million followers:
"Okay, this is not okay. I know it's a shark and that I'm not supposed to be scared, but I'm scared! I'm upset."

The recording stops with Carey moving out of the camera's way. In the background, her son could be heard asking why she's upset, and another voice yelled out, "he's huge!"
The "Always Be My Baby" singer is enjoying some time in the sun with her children, seven-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.
In another photo uploaded the same day, Carey and the twins can be seen staring off into the distance. She captioned the beautiful picture: "Admiring the sunset."
Eagle-eyed fans have since said it may be a nurse shark. If that is the case, Carey was completely safe as they are not known to leap out of the water.
Carey confirmed earlier this year that she would be writing a memoir detailing her struggles with bipolar II disorder and mental health.
She doesn't shy away from talking about the diagnosis and hopes she can help other people who are battling the disease and facing stigma every day.
