Michelle Obama gets slammed for her outfit as she steps out with pal Bruce Springsteen in NYC
Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama has been dragged online for her outfit choice after she emerged in New York City wearing a print shirt-and-pants set.
Michelle, who recently returned from Spain, was pictured leaving the Walter Kerr Theatre where she attended her friend Bruce Springsteen’s show last Thursday.
She wore a button-up, long-sleeved shirt and matching pants, paired with silver, high-heeled sandals. Her hair fell to her shoulders in curls, and she wore large hoop earrings.
As she made her way to the vehicle, Michelle stopped long enough to wave at the cameras.
Unfortunately, social media does not seem to be too impressed with the former first lady’s outfit. Dailymail posted a photo of Michelle to their Twitter account, and the comments that followed were less than desirable.
One user compared the mother-of-two to her successor, Melania Trump:
“Good grief! What the [expletive] is she wearing! Thank God for Melania!"
A couple of people implied that she was wearing pajamas.:
“Looks like Michelle went to a pajama party...”
“I thought she was wearing pajamas”
Another non-fan also wrote:
“Did Michelle Obama just wake up and showed up at this show? No time to change clothes? Gosh! Almost forgot how ugly and macho this thing is!”
Negative comments or no, Michelle is living her best life. The 54-year-old recently returned from a Spain vacation where she was hosted by former Ambassador James Costos, and his partner Michael Smith. Her holiday itinerary included hiking and relaxed lunch trips.
It is no surprise that Michelle was at Springsteen’s show, considering the singer is a close friend and supporter of her and her husband.
Springsteen was on the 2008 campaign trail with Barack Obama, after which he played at the presidential inauguration. He endorsed the Democratic candidate again in 2012.
The trio was also spotted last year when they enjoyed some downtime together on a yacht, along with Tom Hanks, his wife, and Springsteen’s wife, Patti Scialfa.
In March, the former president Barack Obama was at the Walter Kerr Theatre as Springsteen's VIP guest.
