Michelle and Barack Obama have been one of the most public yet romantic couples to have graced the White House. Even after a year of them stepping down from office, people from around the world still see them as "couple goals". With Barack's 57th birthday happening last Saturday, August 4, Michelle made sure to share a short but sweet birthday message for her lovely husband.

On Instagram, the former First Lady of the United States made sure to post a photo of the love-of-her-life, which perfectly described their life together. The black-and-white photo shows Barack appreciating nature, overlooking a desert while deep in thought. Such a tribute to her husband proves that even after all the challenges and difficulties that they have faced as a couple, their married life remains as calm and resilient as it was when they first started dating.

Michelle captioned the photo with a short but incredibly sweet message, saying: "Happy birthday, @BarackObama! The view is always better with you."

That caption definitely didn't just put a smile on Barack's face, but on the millions of people who have seen the loving post. As of now, it has gotten more than 2.5 million likes and almost 67 thousand comments, which just proves how influential this couple remains to be in the world.

Time and time again, the lovely couple prove that through age, their relationship just keeps getting better. After eight long years in the White House, they are finally retired and are just living their best lives with their two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

On the weekend of July 28, the couple attended Beyonce and Jy-Z's On The Run II tour in Maryland, singing and dancing to their songs. President Obama has always been known for his great taste in music, and his choice to attend the Carters' concert was definitely something that proves he is still hip and cool even at 57-years-old.

Happy Birthday, President Obama!
