Rumors about a possible third child for Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter
“Dr. Strange” star Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife, Sophie Hunter, are allegedly expecting their third child together, as Hunter was spotted with a baby bump at the Emmys red carpet.
E! News reported the rumor following the recently-held 70th Annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, California.
40-year-old Hunter – a theatre and opera director - showed off her growing belly when she arrived at the event with Cumberbatch.
The alleged pregnancy would be the third time for the three-year married couple.

Hunter was glowing in her bright yellow gown with a high collar as she posed for photographs alongside her husband, who opted for a classic suit.
It had just been 18 months since the couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Hal Auden Cumberbatch.
Their first son, Christopher “Kit” Carlton was welcomed in June 2015. Only several months after Hunter and Cumberbatch tied the knot in February 2015.
Exchanging vows on Valentine’s Day, the pair had a romantic ceremony at the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul on the Isle of Wight. Their guests included Tom Hiddleston and Andrew Scott.
In October 2016, Cumberbatch spoke with People and reveled about being a father to two sons.
He said, “It’s a joyous thing. I’m very happy to have them in my life, very lucky as well.”
Cumberbatch also acknowledged his mother and father – actors Timothy Carlton and Wanda Ventham - for teaching him the most valuable lessons in life, as well as his parenting skills.
“They, despite whatever is ever made out about it, worked incredibly hard to be able to afford an education that in most circumstances you could only dream of and I was very aware of that. I can only hope to be half as good [a parent] as they were to me, to my children,” he said.
As for the Emmys, Cumberbatch was in attendance as he was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his work in Showtime’s “Patrick Melrose.”
