Kelly Ripa hits back at haters who say she is 'too old for Mark Consuelos'

Kelly Ripa and her handsome husband Mark Consuelos have one of the longest lasting and most passionate marriages in showbusiness. The couple is dedicated, and patently as in love as ever.

Sadly, one "sour-grapes" troll decided to lash out at Ripa on an Instagram post that Consuelos shared in support of the gender equality movement #HeForShe.

Ripa applauded her husband's initiative and wrote: "You make me proud @instasuelos," and was answered in a very unpleasant way by one of Consuelos' admirers.

"You need to learn how to spell the word "too" sweetie. As in you're too stupid to be with my young, handsome husband. Ps, he likes proper grammar as well you dope."

One of Consuelos' fans lashed out at Ripa, telling her she was "too old", but the TV star snapped back smartly.

Ripa pointed out that the fan didn't know how to spell, and hinted that Consuelos valued intelligence in a woman.

Consuelos had his own problem to deal with when one fan told him she was through following him after he spoke out for gender equality and equal pay for women.
