Keyshia Cole and Daniel Gibson's son is 'student of the month' in recent pic

Keyshia Cole and Daniel Gibson’s 8-year-old son is an exemplary student, and he got recognition for his efforts, as revealed by Cole in a recent Instagram pic. Meanwhile, the singer has been dating a 22-year-old rapper.

Daniel Gibson Jr. is his parents’ pride. Not only is he a sweet boy, but he's also pretty smart and a dedicated student in the classroom. Just a few weeks ago he was named as the Student of the Week, but he didn’t stop until achieving the highest honor of Student of the Month.

In a recent pic shared by Keyshia on Instagram, she gushed about her boy getting the honor position, and he looked pleased about it. Wearing a pink t-shirt, black pants and sneakers, Daniel Jr. was captured standing beside his mom’s truck playing with some legos and holding a funny expression on his face.

Fans took over Keyshia’s comment section to send their congratulations for the boy. One user wrote “Aye!!!! Congrats DJ!!!! @daniel_gibsonjr! DJ always been smart and a great kid!” and another added, “Good job homie keep up the good work!!!!”

Even though Cole and Gibson divorced last year, they still have a good relationship for the sake of Daniel Jr. and they proved it on the previous season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” where viewers got the chance to see Keyshia and Daniel holding each other down while going on blind dates and discussing their respective love lives.

Gibson, 32, admitted on an interview with Rolling Out a few years ago that he was to blame for their split. He said:

“With us, I think it was just a matter of us growing apart over time. I can’t say that there was one thing that broke us up, but what I can say as a man; when you are in a relationship, and you say those vows, I take full responsibility for everything that didn’t go right.”

Now, after being together for four years and married for six, both stars have moved on from their relationship. While Daniel is dating a 24-year-old model named Sinfony Rosales, and people have no problem with it, Keyshia has been slammed hard on social media for dating a 22-year-old rapper.

However, Keyshia has been flaunting her relationship with Niko Khale all over social media for the past months, gushing about the man and how she found love again with him.

A few months ago, the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star took to Instagram to shout out to her boyfriend, among other messages. The photo was deleted, but it said:

“Now the reason I’m posting The pepper to my salt @nikokhale is because he’s been such a sweetheart to me, and I know people have been very judgmental about our relationship but I gotta nurture what nurtures me.”

Cole looks happier than ever and is clear that despite being in a relationship, she also keeps her son as her number priority.
