When Roseanne combined her faith and a promise to be back in the entertainment industry last spring it resulted in her new show she posted the new video of on YouTube, naming it ‘News For Jews episode 1.’

The hour-plus video focuses on Barr sitting by herself in a corner piled with cushions as she explained her thoughts on Judaism. Starting off with a subdued demeanor she ends her introduction with one of her signature sardonic expressions.

She called up a friend, Rabbi Shmuley holding an old corded phone. Rabbi Shmuley interviewed and wrote about Barr extensively during the time she was fired and they launch into a discussion about the Book of Noah, taken from the perspective of modern life and current events.

They examine the Book of Noah through a historical and religious context while she sits cross-legged, lighting a cigarette. After a lengthy discussion, they say their farewells and the show ends.

Roseanne did not promote the show on Twitter until Monday when she asked fans to subscribe to her channel on YouTube without mentioning her online show ‘News for Jews’ specifically.

She posted the interview on October 13, with the premiere of the first episode of ‘The Connors’ by ABC Network aired on October 16.

Barr elaborated on her previously mentioned plans to move to Israel during her appearance on the ‘Dr. Oz Show’ the same day as the premiere of ‘The Connors.’

She is resolute in her decision to stay positive and move forward in her life, wanting to learn Hebrew and learn more about the Jewish background and told Dr. Oz:

“I don’t want to be around, because, you know, I’ll get drawn into a negative thing of defending myself or being angry for being mischaracterized. You know, I don’t… I want to stay away from it. I want to stay in a joyous, positive, happy place that I’ve worked my way to again in my life.”

When she first announced her plans to move to Israel her ex-husband Tom Arnold jokingly poked at a photo shoot Barr did for Heeb, the satirical Jewish magazine back in 2009. She dressed like Adolf Hitler and help up a batch of burnt cookies.

The photos were controversial but Barr said she was making fun of the Nazi leader, and not the victims with the shoot being her idea. On September 3, 2018, Tom Arnold suggested on Twitter she should leave her Adolf Hitler outfit in the United States.

Being of the opinion that there is nothing left for her in the United States she is looking forward to moving to Israel and continuing her new YouTube show, ‘News for Jews.’
