Tamar Braxton reveals why she walked out of her family therapy session with Iyanla Vanzant

Tamar Braxton finally discloses the reason why she walked out on Iyania Vanzant after slamming the family therapist and calling her the "devil."

Tamar Braxton has spoken up about what really happened the day she walked out on Iyania Vanzant. She said she just had to get out of there because of one particular reason.

THE BACK STORY

It’s been in the news that Tamar Braxton walked out on a family therapy session with Iyania Vanzant. The Braxtons invited the "Fix My Life" star to guest in their show to help their family sort out their issues. Sparks flew between Tamar and Iyania prompting the singer to walk out. Their feud continued off cam after Tamar released some unkind words on social media against Iyania. The celebrity therapist retaliated by considering filing a lawsuit against the youngest Braxton.

THE TRUTH ACCORDING TO TAMAR

In the midst of it all, the real reason why Tamar walked out was never revealed. That ended when she sat down with Andy Cohen on his show recently. Tamar said she left the session because there were things that came out that were never supposed to.

"I had to, it was a lot of things that came out that wasn’t really supposed to, or that I didn’t know that anyone had had conversations about."

Though Tamar didn't detail the information she was referring to she did say she felt "devastated" and she knew she had to leave.

"I was, you know, devastated. The whole point of the matter is sometimes you have to leave a situation and go gather yourself to come back you know what I mean? Who wants to sit there and watch their family fight all day long, I know I can’t. I’m tired as hell, and it’s tiring to watch.”

THE AFTERMATH

Of course, Tamar never came back and instead slammed Iyania and even referred to her as the "devil" on social media. This didn't sit well with Iyania who considered suing the star for defamation.

During her interview with Cohen, Tamar also opened up about her current relationship with her family after most of them quit their show, "Braxton Family Values." According to Tamar, she was in communication with her mother, Evelyn Braxton, and her sisters Towanda and Toni Braxton. She said she spoke to them a day earlier and even revealed Toni was in the hospital. Tamar disclosed her older sister was being treated for lupus, a condition she's had for a while.

Tamar's update didn't match that of Toni's reps who denied her hospitalization. Instead, they insisted the singer was rehearsing in LA for her upcoming show. This casts doubt on the true situation of Toni who has yet to speak up regarding the matter.
