The “Cosby Show” alum gave birth to little Ella in January 2017, but she kept the baby’s face away from social media for more than a year. Knowing what is like to grow up in the spotlight, is only natural for Pulliam to try and protect her daughter from the critics that come with fame.

However, Keshia had a change of heart last month and officially introduced little Ella to the world through her Instagram. Since then, the actress has been sharing several pics of the girl or with her, charming her followers with Ella’s adorable smile.

In one of her most recent pics, the mommy-daughter duo was captured mid-cuddle, and the little tot melted hearts with her ruffled thick brown hair and her almond-shaped dark eyes. Pulliam captioned the shot: “Morning cuddles with my mini #MommyAndEllaGrace.”

Fans took over Keshia’s comment section to gush about the photo too. One fan wrote “OMG! She’s such a cutie! Thank you for sharing your princess with the world,” another added, “Yes she is your twin, beautiful,” and a third one chimed in to say “I think she looks just like you. She's very pretty.”

DIVORCE AND CUSTODY MESS

Pulliam, 39, married to Ed Hartwell on January 2017, and she gave birth to their daughter a year later. However, just days after she announced her pregnancy, Hartwell filed for divorce alleging that he believed the child was not his.

From that moment, the former couple started a nasty divorce and custody battle. Hartwell accused Pulliam of cheating on him when he had been the unfaithful one in their relationship, and she had given him another chance.

The “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” star told Entertainment Tonight at the time that his accusations deeply hurt her. “He had asked me to give him another chance,” she said, “and I was willing to do that and forgive him, for our family.”

She also stated that:

“This is his baby. He wanted more children. He was excited once he found out that we were having a little girl. There was never a question about that. … [At] no point after we got pregnant was there an issue of the fact that we’re having a baby.”

A paternity test established Hartwell’s paternity, and the former lovers kept fighting in court, accusing each other of domestic violence, drug use, and more.

THE END OF THE LEGAL BATTLE

Last March, a judge ruled in favor of Keshia and awarded her with the full custody of Ella. The divorce also reached its end after more than a year.

According to TMZ, Hartwell, a retired NFL player got visitation rights and was ordered to pay $3,007 per month in child support. The estranged Exes also finally settled on “Pulliam-Hartwell” as their daughter’s surname.

Pulliam didn’t want their daughter to carry her father’s surname at first, considering that he didn’t even believe she was his daughter in the beginning.

MOVING ON AND SURPRISING FORMER CASTMATES

These days Keshia is focusing on being the best mom to little Ella. She said of the girl on a Mother’s Day post:

“I am so eternally grateful for my little Ella. I would not trade any of what I have gone thru for her. She is my greatest accomplishment & joy. She has inspired my smile even thru the tears. I am so proud she has chosen me to be her mommy…”

Pulliam is using the joy that her daughter brings into her life to inspire others, like former “Cosby Show” castmate Geoffrey Owens, who caused quite the stir on social media after photos of him working at a local Trader Joe's saw the light.

In the middle of an interview to ET with Owens, Pulliam facetimed the actor from Atlanta to encourage him and tell him how proud she was of him.

“Well look, I'm proud of you," Pulliam said. "As a working actor, you need to do what you have to do for your family, and there's nothing wrong with a hard day's work."

Since then, Owens quit his job at Trader Joe’s and has been offered a role on Tyler Perry’s “The Haves & Have Nots.”

Keshia, on the other hand, keeps working on different projects in the entertainment industry while having fun with Ella on her free time.
