Blake Shelton stopped a ceremony and professed his love for Gwen Stefani right on the stage

Country icon Blake Shelton could not stop himself from giving his lady love a special mention while he stepped up to receive a special award.

42-year-old Shelton was accompanied by 45-year-old Carson Daly on the stage as they accepted the E! People’s Choice Awards 2018 for the competition show of the year for “The Voice.”

Daly and Shelton then gave artist Gwen Stefani a shout out. The singer was among the audience lending her support to boyfriend Shelton, who had already bagged another award for country artist of 2018 that evening.

The host on “The Voice,” Daly, also reminded the audience about Shelton being recently voted as the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine before giving a nod to Stefani.

Daly acknowledged Stefani by thanking her as well as every other coach on the voice. That was when Shelton interrupted Daly to profess his love for Stefani.

“All-time favorite coach right there. Gwen Stefani, I love her,” Shelton announced. Daly then went ahead and invited Stefani up on the stage. “Want to come up?” he asked, “Come on up!”

The audience picked up on Daly’s cue and started to encourage Stefani to take the stage. The singer complied and joined Shelton on the stage.

“The most amazing coaches on television, helping people realize their dreams,” Daly stated, while Shelton offered Stefani his hand and led her to the stage.

Daly further joked by suggesting that he had never thought Shelton would one day date one of his “oldest” friends in the music business.

“Oh my God,” Stefani also expressed her excitement to be on the stage, “I’m so excited to be with Blake Shelton!”

The trio definitely had a lot of fun on the stage and, without a doubt, brought the entire audience in on their special moment.

Prior to thanking the “The Voice” coaches, Daly also took time to mention the brave firefighters and veterans for their service.

As one of the most romantic couples of the entertainment industry in the present times, Shelton and Stefani are now looking to take their relationship to a new level, as per AOL.

The source suggested that the couple is determined about having a child together and are thinking about selecting a surrogate mother to carry their baby.

Stefani and Shelton are already proud parents to children from their previous marriages. Although the couple is looking to have a new baby, the relationship that Shelton shares with Stefani’s children is already something special as they are believed to be fond of the country legend.
