Michelle Obama flashes a smile in a classy striped suit with modern lines on 'Ellen'
Michelle Obama stunned the audience at Ellen DeGeneres' show in an elegant wrap coat.
During her husband's two terms in office, former First Lady Michelle Obama became a fashion icon for her charisma and unerring sense of style.
She may have left the White House behind, but Michelle is still polished, elegant, and inarguably one of the best-dressed women in the world.
Michelle was on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" to promote her new memoir, "Becoming," and rocked a gorgeous designer suit. The designer posted her photo on Instagram/ Zero + Maria Cornejo on November 15, 2018.
A STUNNING BESPOKE SUIT FOR A WONDERWOMAN
Michelle's suit was by the New York-based designer Zero + Maria Cornejo and consisted of a wrap jacket with a ribbon belt, and loose pants that showed off the 54-year-old's svelte and athletic figure to perfection.
Maria Conejo described the Japanese inspired outfit as a Wrap Oki Jacket and Cropped Akeo Pant, both cut from a soft, lustrous striped jacquard textile made from specially sourced viscose. The outfit carries a hefty price tag, with the jacket retailing for $895, and the pants for $795.
ALL ABOUT "BECOMING"
Ellen DeGeneres spent an hour talking to Michelle Obama about her new memoir, "Becoming" which hit the bookshelves on November 13, 2018, and already promises to start some heated debates in Washington circles and beyond.
THE FIRST LADY'S FIRST KISS
Ellen gave Michelle no quarter and dived deep into her revelations concerning her past, in particular, her first kiss in 8th grade with a boy identified only as "Ronell." Michelle refused to give his surname since the first boy she kissed in kindergarten had been harassed by the press.
REVELATIONS ABOUT LIFE IN THE WHITE HOUSE
Michelle confessed that there had been some adjustments to make, living with two children in the White House. The necessary security measures surrounding the President and his family curtailed some of her daughters' activities.
MICHELLE AND ELLEN ST COSTCO FOR BOOKSIGNING
The show reached a new level when Ellen accompanied Michelle to Costco for a book signing and insisted on conducting a running commentary with a bullhorn. She signed books, presented the former first lady with toilet paper and Preparation H and generally made a hilarious nuisance of herself.
The result was an unforgettable adventure that left Ellen's audience in stitches and added a new dimension to the glamorous Michelle Obama's book signing experience.

MALIA'S PROM AND THE WHITE HOUSE SECURITY
One of the amusing anecdotes Michelle Obama shared in her book and discussed with Ellen DeGeneres was Malia's prom.
Malia wanted to ride in her date's car, and that required approval by the Chief of Staff and the entire White House security detail. On the evening in question, the young man drove up, and like every other mom and dad in America, Barack and Michelle met him at the door of their house - the White House.
The young man greeted the President and Mrs. Obama and the two drove off in his car - followed by three vehicles packed full of armed White House security agents. According to Michelle, Barack said:
"My daughter is being followed by men with guns to prom. I’m good.'"
The then President told his wife that that moment alone made running for office a second time well worthwhile.
We will have to wait for Malia Obama's own memoirs to hear her side of the story.
