You can serve them during your holiday parties, you can make them for your family, or you can give them as gifts to your friends, neighbors, or colleagues. Just buy a simple tin container to place it in and tie it up with a holiday ribbon.

INGREDIENTS

Now, to make this eggnog fudge, you will need two cups of granulated sugar, half a cup of butter, three-fourths cup of eggnog, 10 ounces white chocolate, a seven-ounce jar of marshmallow crème, one-fourth teaspoon of ground nutmeg, one-eighth teaspoon of ground cloves, and one vanilla bean pod with seeds scraped out.

This set of ingredients was presented by Lauren from the Art and The Kitchen blog.

INSTRUCTIONS

First, Line an eight-inch pan with foil and spread butter on it afterward. Then mix the sugar, butter, and eggnog in a heavy saucepan. Wait until it boils, stirring constantly in the process. Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking at a rolling boil. Spend the next 10 minutes stirring the mixture.

Once you remove the saucepan from the heat, quickly drop the chopped white chocolate, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla bean seeds. Stir the ingredients in until the chocolate melts.

Afterward, add the marshmallow crème and stir once again after all the ingredients combine.

Grab the prepared pan and spread the mixture evenly in it. Sprinkle the top with nutmeg or holiday spice infused sugar.

Let it cool at room temperature and cut into squares. For storage, you may place them in containers or Ziploc bags and put them in the fridge.

That’s about it. It’s that easy to make a fresh batch of eggnog fudge.

VARIATIONS

Of course, aside from Lauren’s method, there are variations from other blogs as well.

For Like Mother, Like Daughter, Aimee prefers to use marshmallow crème and white chocolate as her base, together with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg.

To those who prefer a stronger eggnog flavor, Brown-Eyed Baker uses rum extract in her recipe.

Meanwhile, for those who love cheese and fondue, here is a creative way to prepare different kinds of cheese fondue without using any container.

You'd be surprised how elegant the cheese fondue variations could look in the end.
