Diddy shared heartbreaking tribute to ex Kim Porter in a series of posts before her funeral
Rapper Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, took to Instagram to share a couple of posts just before Kim Porter’s funeral.
The first image portrayed Kim wearing a beautiful crown and a white flurry scarf placed on her head and over her shoulders. While the photo was striking, the highlight of the post was Sean’s caption.
“Today we lay to rest our ANGEL. Her spirit lives on with us FOREVER!!! We thank you all for your prayers and support. You have no idea how much it means to us. We thank GOD for all of you,” wrote the rapper.
The second post Sean uploaded showed Kim with the ex-couple’s twin daughters 11-year-old D’Lila Star and Jessie James, and a third girl playing and having a great time at the beach. For the caption, the man wrote that it was the “truest definition of a mother.”
Sean’s followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Most of them wished for Kim’s soul to rest in peace while others thanked the rapper for sharing such touching tributes that proves how good their relationship used to be.
DIDDY’S EULOGY
TMZ released audio recorded on November 24 during Kim’s service at Cascade Hills Church in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, showing Sean’s emotional eulogy. Among the things the rapper said, he admitted that Kim helped him battle depression and how to love.
"From the top of the year, I was going through a real dark time and was really depressed … and she would come over and make sure (I was OK). We wasn't together like that, but she was that type of person [sic]," revealed Sean.
KIM’S PASSING
On November 15, officers got the alert that she was unresponsive in her home at Toluca Lake, California. The call came in as a cardiac arrest, and she was declared dead at 11:40 a.m. local time.
However, the reasons for Kim’s passing are still a mystery. Even though the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner already released her death certificate, it didn’t clear up anything.
“On Nov. 16, an autopsy was performed on Porter. The cause of death was deferred pending additional tests. Porter’s body has since been released from our facility,” a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner said in a statement on November 19.
People revealed that Diddy held a memorial for his ex-partner at his home in Bel Air, California, on November 18. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Mary J. Blige, French Montana, and Kourtney Kardashian were present.
Diddy and Kim, who began dating in the 90s, had three children together: 20-year-old Christian and 11-year-old twins D’Lila and Jessie. Apart from that, Diddy raised Quincy, and he considers the 27-year-old man his own son.
