Internet uproar about Kim Kardashian and her husband renting a huge Boeing for themselves

This week, Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West upset some social media users with video clips of them boarding a private 747 jet. The couple was traveling on a long-haul flight with a handful of people.

Social media users felt there traveling method was expensive and bad for the environment. Reports state that the Boeing 747 can seat 660 passengers.

Kim Kardashian, 38, took to Instagram to share videos of her and her husband Kanye West, 41, boarding their private plane. Her clips showed off how spacious the Boeing 747 was inside.

While filming she was heard saying:

“No big deal, just taking a private 747. This is how he does it now. Only 747s, private. I’ve never even heard of this, but whatever.”

The 747 can hold up to 660 passengers and the presidents Air Force One is also a Boeing 747. On the plane, Kardashian surveyed the customized interior.

She showed off its lounge areas, bedrooms, and cabins which had empty seats. The plane had enough space for West to have what his wife called the “Yeezy floating office.”

Kardashian’s video included her saying:

“So this is what a private 747 is like, you guys. I’ve never been on one before. Oh my god, there’s bedrooms everywhere. No big deal. This is like endless.”

Some social media users weren’t very impressed with the couple’s choice of travel. Most of them felt it was a wasted expenditure and that the stars could’ve used a smaller travel option.

A Twitter user named Paige Flugge commented:

“Kim Kardashian posted on her story about flying on a private 747. All I’m thinking is what a waste of jet fuel, resources, environmental harm, etc etc etc. Smh. So obnoxious and unnecessary.”

Hanne Borris wrote:

“I’m missing the connection. @KimKardashian and @kanyewest donate 500000$ to wildfire relief efforts, but take a 747 airplane privately. Will someone explain to them how the climate crisis work? Please?”

Another Twitter user named Samantha commented:

“@KimKardashian @kanyewest renting an entire 747 for themselves is so unbelievably wasteful it makes me sick. Leaving a much larger carbon footprint than they need to. You have the power and wealth to travel sustainably, and instead you do the opposite.For what? An instagram flex?”

However, some social media users found the whole thing quite impressive. One poster felt that West was ahead of his time with this move.

The famous couple recently paid a group of private firefighters to protect their Hidden Hills, California, home from the Woolsey wildfire. Some social media critics found their move selfish because many others couldn’t afford that option.

However, they actually saved their neighbors houses because their home is at the end of a park and if it had burnt down, the other homes would’ve followed suit.
