Mariah Carey & her twins sing along to her hit 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' in sweet video
Mariah Carey and her twin children, Moroccan and Monroe, proved that the Christmas spirit hit the family already as they recorded themselves singing “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
In the clip that the proud mother uploaded to her Instagram account, they appeared in a vehicle wearing winter outfits with a Christmas touch. In the twins’ case, they chose Santa hats, while Mariah put on a red and white scarf.
While their looks were outstanding, the highlight of the video was their singing ability. Monroe and Moroccan sang the background vocals to their mother’s hit song “All I Want For Christmas Is You” in the best possible way.
THE PERFORMANCE
Mariah worked as both the principal singer and the director of her children, who set clear that have a bright future ahead if they choose to follow in their mother’s footsteps.
For the caption, the “Hero” singer wrote, “Roc & Roe have been practicing the background vocals to ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You,’ we're gonna take this one step at a time - we're very excited about it! It's our first video doing this! It's festive, Cmon!! [sic].”
As soon as Mariah uploaded that video, her followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Some of them pointed out that it was a beautiful and talented family, while others admitted that it was the best family Christmas clip so far.
THE “DIVAS LIVE” CONCERT
It is not the first time that Mariah has made headlines recently as she was in an interview with Andy Cohen in his show, wherein she talked about her performance with Aretha Franklin during the 1998 VH1’s “Divas Live.”
After saying that she felt very intimidated to share the stage with the Queen of Soul, Mariah said that she was about to call off her participation when she learned that they could only rehearse together once.
Without naming anyone, Mariah said that Aretha told her that “they” were playing games, “and I’m not having the games. So, we won’t be rehearsing tonight.” That night happened to be the only opportunity they had to rehearse properly.
THE OUTCOME
Even though Mariah admitted that she wouldn’t share more details about the drama of those rehearsals because she was working on a memoir, the singer said that they practiced together in Aretha’s trailer.
Thankfully, the concert ended up almost flawlessly. Mariah revealed that Aretha went “so far beyond what I could have imagined she would be like.”
