Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx look smitten during rare public outing together in New Orleans

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx made a rare public appearance in New Orleans on Sunday and, judging from the photos, the pair had a lovely time.

Despite being linked together romantically for years, Holmes and Foxx have succeeded in keeping their relationship private. Save for a few open appearances, the Hollywood stars are hardly spotted closely together.

This past weekend, however, the two were out and about having fun on the streets of Louisiana. Holmes, 39, looked laid-back in a short-sleeved top and denim pants.

She paired the casual outfit with flat shoes and stayed warm with a chic red wrap draped around her neck and shoulders. Foxx, 50, was also dressed for a stroll in a dark sweater, matching pants, and white sneakers.

The pair seemed to be in high spirits, and the “Jack And Jill” actress laughed heartily at various points, apparently entertained by her comedian beau.

Last month, Radar Online reported that Holmes and the “Baby Driver” actor were planning a secret wedding in Paris. An insider allegedly said:

“Paris is the city where they decided to go public with their romance after years of sneaking around. Jamie’s been a handful ever since they started secretly dating in 2013 — but Katie’s convinced him to settle down, and they’re ready to make it official. Katie has waited a long time to marry Jamie, and she’s now made it clear where she wants to get married and when. She’s desperate for a winter wedding in the City of Light.”

Holmes also sparked engagement rumors in October after she was spotted with what looked like a diamond ring on her left hand. Her rep, however, shut down the speculations, explaining that the ring was a prop for “The Secret,” a movie Holmes is currently filming.

Holmes was previously married to actor, Tom Cruise, and has a 12-year-old daughter, Suri, from the marriage. Foxx -- whose real name is Eric Marlon Bishop -- has never been married but has two daughters, Corinne and Annalise.
