Mariah Carey shares 'big moment' with her twins writing letter to Santa in sweet photo
Mariah Carey's children reveal their long lists for Santa in photos shared by their mother.
Mariah Carey’s Instagram is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. After sharing a clip of her children singing her hit Christmas song, she posted photos of a big holiday moment for them – writing letters to Santa.
A HOLIDAY HIT
It’s hard to imagine Christmas without Mariah’s voice singing “All I Want for Christmas” in the background. The song is reportedly the most downloaded during the season and the 11th highest-selling single to date. It’s become an annual holiday anthem and she recently taught her children its vocals.
Mariah was excited to share last week that she and her twins Moroccan and Monroe have been “practicing the background vocals” for her holiday hit. They were riding a vehicle when she took a video of their backseat rehearsals. It came with a little backlash, though, when fans noticed they were all missing seatbelts. Commenters reprimanded the star for her carelessness.
LETTERS TO SANTA
Nevertheless, the Christmas spirit endured with the songstress who later shared photos of her twins writing letters to Santa. She revealed in her caption that the annual tradition was “a big moment” for them.
In the photos, her two children were visibly excited to be jotting down their wishes. Monroe’s appeared to be a long one while Moroccan’s list had seven items including a new watch as her first request.
A HUMILIATING CHRISTMAS
Christmas appears to be a pretty special season for the family though Mariah recently recalled a year her son caused quite a humiliation in the White House during the holidays. In an interview with Andy Cohen, Mariah revealed her son Moroccan, in 2013, threw up on former First Lady Michelle Obama. They attended a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the White House when Moroccan spit on the first lady’s dress. Luckily, Michelle was gracious enough to make a joke out of it thanking the little boy for the last time she’d be wearing the dress.
It’s unclear if Santa charted that incident as a naughty or nice moment but that was then. Today, we’re certain Moroccan and Monroe will have quite a Christmas starting with a long list of presents from Santa.
