Farmer enchanted the audience with a unique rendition of Aretha Franklin’s "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."

The girl, who turns 17 in October 2021, is already one of the most promising talents in America. After winning Season 12 of "America’s Got Talent," the teenager doesn’t seem to be ready to slow down yet.

LIFE AFTER "AMERICA'S GOT TALENT"

Back in 2017, she posted a video of one of her shows on her official Facebook page, and it went viral right away. The clip was shot at a Hobby Lobby, where she was invited to perform by David Green, the arts and crafts store founder.

Always with a smile on her face, Farmer used her ventriloquist skills to amaze and slightly embarrass Green, who played along and stepped on stage at her request.

Using Edna, a doll made to look like an elderly woman, Farmer sang Aretha Franklin’s "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" to a very uncomfortable-looking but completely smitten Green, who couldn’t do anything but sit there in awe.

It wasn’t the first time that the then-13-year-old sang the song. While on "America’s Got Talent," Farmer sang it to Simon Cowell, who, according to Edna, was very popular “with the ladies in their eighties back at home," added Country Music Nation.

The talented teenager has been busy ever since she was crowned the winner of the talent competition. She has made a handful of high-profile appearances and held her show at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood.

Despite her busy schedule, the young ventriloquist keeps climbing the long ladder to the top and has many a celebrity fan.

ON BEING DARCI LYNNE FARMER

In 2021, the AGT auditions went virtual to better manage the crowd due to the ongoing pandemic. However, for Farmer, she was glad she didn't have to audition virtually. She said:

"I feed off of energy in the audience and just reacting to them."

The singer and ventriloquist was the youngest contestant ever to win NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” She won "AGT" season 12 in 2017 and walked away with a million dollars and a headline gig at a Las Vegas show.

Not only did she headline a gig in Las Vegas, but she was also able to schedule concerts all over the U.S. The once-shy Oklahoma ventriloquist sold out shows in 2018 within six minutes.

Farmer has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, opened for Fergie at Caesar’s Palace on New Year’s Eve, and starred in her own NBC Christmas Special.

She is very close to her family and relies on their support and encouragement. Her hard work, grit, determination, and discipline have taken her as far as she could dream.
