ANTICIPATED BIRTH

Remy, whose real name is Reminisce Mackie, welcomed her first child with Papoose on Friday. The new mom announced her daughter’s arrival on Instagram with an “It’s a girl!” picture along with a caption that told fans just how cute the newborn is:

"It's a girl!! The Golden Child is here!!! Thank you @papoosepapoose for making me the happiest wife on the planet #BlackLove #RemAndPap #BabyMackie #ShesMADDDDcute”

Papoose, 40, had earlier asked for prayers for his wife who was having a “tough labor” and “fighting through it.”

INFERTILITY STRUGGLES

Remy, 38, has always been open about her infertility struggles and did not hesitate to tell the world when she had a miscarriage last year as a result of ectopic pregnancy. She and her husband of ten years had to resort to IVF and Remy needed to work on her weight.

She said in October:

“I lost a lot of weight prior to getting pregnant, so I can have a successful pregnancy. So I had to keep my weight down and keep it stable for about a year … I stopped eating meat, I stopped eating carbs, cut out sugars.”

The couple also shared how Remy had to take multiple IVF injections in her stomach and her butt, and how Papoose helped out with the needles. They also had to sacrifice the time for a two-hour drive to the doctor’s appointment every other day.

It’s been a long and rough journey to welcome the golden child, but now that she’s here, Remy and Papoose couldn’t be happier. Although the new baby is their first child together, Remy already has an 18-year-old son -- Jayson -- from a previous relationship, and Papoose reportedly has three kids as well.
