Thomas Markle sends a heart wrenching plea to Meghan asking her to 'send me a text, anything'
Meghan Markle's father is again reaching out in a televised interview to his daughter. His messages and letters have so far been ignored.
Thomas Markle appeared on "Good Morning Britain" where he discussed the ongoing rift between himself and his daughter. The video is found below.
Piers Morgan and his co-anchor interviewed Thomas for a Monday broadcast. They asked him what messages he sends to his daughter, who ghosted him after she got married to Prince Harry in May.

Thomas said he simply asks Meghan to respond to him, to reach out in some way. He would also like to meet his son-in-law for the first time.
He said:
"I've been ghosted. I'm not sure why it's happening. I love my daughter very much. I wish she would reach out, send me a text, anything. There has to be a place for me. I'm her father."
Thomas raised Meghan since she was 11 until she went off to college. This will be the first Christmas season that he may not receive a card, gift, or hear from her at all.
The 73-year-old also revealed that he's penned letters to the queen asking for her help in fixing the ongoing rift. He said: "I appreciate anything [The Queen] could do."
Thus far, the palace has also ignored Thomas' plea. But the father who had Meghan with ex-wife Doria Ragland remains hopeful.
He also spoke about his expected grandchild, saying:
"I think she will make a great mom and maybe things will soften a bit and we will get back in contact. I'm certainly hoping that everything goes well that they produce a beautiful baby. I hope I'll get to see a little Meghan or a little Harry."
Thomas, who wasn't paid for the interview, is not worried about his appearances. He implored Meghan to stop believing certain stories that claim he said things he didn't.
He explained:
"I don't plan to be silent for the rest of my life. I love my daughter very much and she has to know that, and I would really appreciate if she would call me, just reach out to me."
When asked by Morgan, who himself was ghosted by the Duchess, if she tends to cut people out of her life, Thomas defended her:
"That's really not a character trait. She's always been very polite to everyone, never been rude to anyone. I don't know what's really happening right now."
He continued by saying: "She has always been a very controlling person and that is part of her nature - but she has never been rude. She has always been in charge."
If the holiday season is not enough to mend things between father and daughter, Thomas hopes that the baby will help "soften" the rift. He is sure it won't last forever.
Meanwhile, he wishes his daughter and the GMB hosts a Merry Christmas. He continues to believe "whatever difficulties" can be worked through.
Samantha Markle, Meghan's half-sister, has also weighed in on the rift recently. She attacked a Christmas card that Meghan and Prince Harry released.
In it, the pair is looking up at a fireworks display. The photo was taken on their wedding day. It features Meghan in her white gown holding onto Harry's hand.
Samantha wrote on Twitter:
"Interesting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have their backs turned. Is this towards the world or just the Ragland and Markle family? It’s a bit sad. Face the Christmas spirit."
As for Morgan, the long-standing tv anchor was a bit harsher in reaction to the Duchess of Sussex ghosting him back in 2016. He called Meghan "self-obsessed."
In early November, Morgan revealed that Meghan abruptly cut off communication with him after she met Prince Harry. Prior to that, Morgan and Meghan talked a number of times about various topics.
Meghan introduced Morgan to her co-worker Rick Hoffman at one point. Hoffman also ignored Morgan's messages for 18 months before apologizing. Morgan promptly ignored his messages.
The British national pointed to Markle's tendencies to dump persons quickly. According to him, she divorced her first husband following her new role on "Suits."
He further stated:
"A self-obsessed professional actress who has landed the role of her life and is determined to milk it for all she’s worth."
Morgan also pointed to rumors that Meghan has displayed a rude attitude towards staff since residing in the palace. However, most persons appear to back the Duchess and claim Morgan is whining like a teenager.
