Wendy Williams responds to health concerns following 'less than stellar' talk show episode

Wendy Williams really worried her viewers after struggling through an episode of her show. Her "less than stellar" show fans were left concerned for her health.

Wendy Williams apologized to fans after a particularly odd show. The host struggled to speak throughout the show.

Her stumbling caused concern among fans. Many feared for her health since the talk show host looked really uncomfortable and had trouble speaking a few times.

A few days ago, Wendy publically revealed that she had fractured her shoulder. Thus she wore a sling to hold her arm up during the show. She did not reveal the cause of her injury.

Following her latest show, Wendy acknowledged it was not her best episode. She went on to explain that her out-of-sorts behavior was due to her pain medication.

‘I’m on your TV screens every day wanting to spread laughter, entertainment and cheer. As I reported earlier this week, I have a fracture on my upper arm, which hurts like hell. I have never broken a bone or experienced a fracture in my whole life. In the place where the fracture is, and trying to scurry around and do too much, I’m now paying the price,’ she explained

She went on to claim that she had no choice and needed to take painkillers for the very first time. The well-known host explained that she "did it to power through and try to deliver a great show,"

" I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200 [percent]." said Wendy Williams

She thanked everyone for their concern saying she appreciated everyone’s concern over her wellbeing. She also promised a ‘better Wendy’ in the new year.

Other Reason's Fans Were Concerned:

Fans were also alarmed earlier in the week when Wendy's behavior was different during a recent holiday gifts segment on her talk show. The host sat while "Good Housekeeping" Style Director Lori Bergamotto went through a set of possible presents.

Her sitting through the segment was a red flag for the show's regulars. Usually, Williams walks around and pick out various items.

The concerns were heightened after she leaned on a podium during a December 12 edition of “Ask Wendy.”
