Barbra Streisand shared the sweetest photo of herself with newborn granddaughter

Barbra Streisand shared a heartwarming photo on Instagram giving followers a peek of her new granddaughter.

The legendary singer and actress posted the photo of the newborn's hand and feet as she was cradled.

Westlyn Reign was welcomed by the son of Streisand's partner James Brolin last month. The photo is found below.

Streisand captioned the sweet picture:

"My granddaughter‘s precious little hands and feet. What’s truly important… Life and love."

Of course, followers littered the comments with words of adoration and love towards the child and her grandmother.

The doting grandmother keeps her family in the spotlight on her Instagram page. But not everyone is always close by.

Streisand's half-sister Roslyn Kind is also an entertainer. She is nine years younger than Streisand but has a wealth of experience like her sister.

This is because Kind began her career straight out of high school with an album called "Give Me You."

Kind is also an actress like her older sibling. She worked on "Gimme a Break" and "Throb." She also appeared in the sitcom "The Nanny."

The siblings have a healthy relationship despite Streisand's more legendary status. It seems that entertainment runs in the family.

Streisand's son is also in the industry. Jason Gould, 51, is a singer, actor, and director. Interestingly, the Jewish man is openly gay, an announcement that he revealed later in life.

Gould also took a while to go into music so as not to be too closely connected to his mother's reputation. He preferred to make his name on his own and began in his mid-40s.

Regardless, Gould and Streisand have a strong bond. They have gone on to share the stage during some of Streisand's tour stops.

The mother-son duo even worked on a film together. Streisand directed and co-produced "The Prince of Tides." Both she and Gould played some role in the film itself.
