Outrage after 10-year-old girl selling candy is run over while running from inspectors
One minor suffered a terrible accident after the Inspection and Verification officers requested her permission as a street vendor.
Unfortunately, the girl was afraid that her merchandise would be taken away from her and in her attempt to escape from the police and get away from the place she was hit by a car.
This scene occurred on Vía Rápida Oriente and Javier Mina Street, in the Zona Río, around 2:26 pm on Sunday afternoon, December 23.
According to Debate, the 10-year-old girl was selling fritters and sweets in the lanes that go to the San Ysidro checkpoint when inspectors approached her to ask for her permission.
In desperation, the girl crossed Via Rápida and was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe vehicle. The incident was reported by journalist Said Betanzos, who was in the area and was able to photograph the scene.
Some witnesses gave help to the little worker and requested medical assistance and an ambulance.
This case does not have more details, nor have the authorities confirmed anything more about it so it is not known what the health state of the girl is right now.
In another story, the victim was also a 7-year-old girl, who died after being run over by the vehicle where two men were going, allegedly being pursued by a Civil Force patrol.
The alleged criminals were traveling in a Pontiac vehicle with plates SNJ 4305, which was abandoned a few blocks after causing the death of the child.
Apparently, both subjects were fleeing from the police after having made a robbery. According to the neighbors, the accident was reported around 20:00 hours at the intersection of New Mexico and California, a few meters from the home of the deceased minor.
The little girl was identified as Nicolle. Unfortunately, the girl was left lifeless on the public road. Despite the work of the Red Cross paramedics, they later confirmed her death.
Apparently, the girl was also run over by the patrol of the Civil Force that persecuted the criminals. The officers behind the wheel did not return to the scene.
Kids can be sometimes oblivious about the dangers of not looking to both sides when they're going to cross the road, like this seven-year-old boy who was almost struck by a car running on full-speed as he was about to cross the road towards his school bus.
A video, which has now become viral, was grabbed from the surveillance camera outside the New Hampshire residence of the boy’s father, David Cota-Robles.
