La La Anthony shares sweet photo of Carmelo and their growing son Kiyan amid pregnancy rumors
La La Anthony recently became the subject of rumors claiming she's pregnant with a second child for her estranged husband, Carmelo Anthony, but the actress did not let it stop her from showing off Carmelo and their son on social media.
The “Power” star has never been one to let speculations change her, so it was no surprise that she chose to share a photo of Carmelo and 11-year-old Kiyan on Instagram.
Father and son looked like they were enjoying their time together and they even coordinated in black outfits.
Kiyan grinned happily at the camera while throwing up a hand sign, and even La La was captivated. Along with a red heart emoji, she wrote: “This Smile.”
During the last Christmas holidays, La La became a hot topic after she left a cryptic comment on Amy Schumer’s video.
The pregnant comedian shared a clip of herself throwing up by the roadside on Christmas Day, and La La showed up in the comments, saying:
“I’m with u!! Merry Christmas babe.”
Eagle-eyed netizens somehow took that to mean the 39-year-old is pregnant and a few fans even asked directly.
La La eventually shut down the rumors, telling Life And Style Mag she could only relate to Amy’s post because she also “suffered from severe hyperemesis” when she was pregnant with Kiyan.
While the former “TRL” VJ has denied the pregnancy claims, it’s a different story with reconciliation speculations that have trailed her and Carmelo for a long time.
The couple split in April 2017 after the NBA player’s cheating was exposed, but the two have been seen together and getting cozy in recent times.
A source confirmed to US Weekly that Carmelo and La La were getting back together because they “still love one another.”
The insider added:
“It’s so obvious when they’re together. They also both want what’s best for their son and are committed to being a family.”
La La refrained from confirming or denying the speculations, but she did tell the publication:
“I learned that life is filled with ups and downs and it’s just about how you react to them. You can get down on yourself and just be like, ‘Oh, the world’s ending,’ and just, you know, really be hard on yourself, or you can say, ‘I’m not the first and I won’t be the last, this happens to people,’ you know, ups and downs, and you just gotta keep pushing forward. I proved to myself that I can overcome a lot of things that probably would have broken some people.”
