The actor, nominated for the Golden Globes 2019 for the series "Kidding", sat next to his girlfriend in the theater section for actors and film directors. During the ceremony, an uncomfortable moment occurred that forced him to change places.

The actor and actress made official their love affair during the red carpet and it was a representative of him who confirmed that they are actually dating.

During the opening monologue Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, hosts of the gala, forced the interpreter to change the table. Follow us on Twitter for more @amomama_usa.

The hosts of the Golden Globes indicated that he could not continue sitting in that part of the theater as he was competing for an award for his participation in a television series.

Carrey appealed saying that he has just finished filming a tape. Then, the hosts indicated that he can return next year to sit in the movie section. The actor with nothing else to do about it took the joke with humor and asked: "Can I at least take my dinner?"

Despite his success on the big screen when it comes to his personal life has gone through hard times. In 2017, Carrey admitted that he was living an isolated life but that he had not quit dating.

This new romance is the first one the star of The Grinch has since the death of his ex-partner and the public is witness to how happy he is to have returned to find love in his life.

Jim did not hesitate to confess that he was happy to have great support for the Golden Globes: "I am very fortunate to have this beautiful, talented and amazing woman as a company”.

Fans that missed the actor for so many years are now glad to see him back, but even though he returned to the public eye, it's still not the same. He has grown as a person during his sort-of sabbatical from the industry, and explains:

"I don't feel I'm little Jim trying to hang on to a place in the stratosphere anymore — I don't feel like I'm trying to hold on to anything."
