Meghan Markle's brother will invite the Duchess to his wedding amid family drama
The Duchess of Sussex's 52-year-old brother is tying the knot and plans to invite Prince Harry, Meghan, and her father.
Thomas Markle Jr. from Oregon is walking down the aisle with his fiancee Darlene Blount in March 2019 and wants his family to make peace.
The window-fitter believes if Meghan could spend some time with her dad, everything would go back to normal again.
Her family was desperate to spend Christmas with the Duchess, but they couldn't get hold of her at Kensington Palace.
Meghan's father sent a Christmas card to Kensington Palace but didn't hear back from her and spent the festive with one friend.
He hasn't seen the Duchess since before her wedding. He couldn't walk her down the aisle as he underwent surgery a week before the wedding.
He spoke to Meghan over the phone a few times after the wedding, but she broke communication with him when he discussed Prince Harry with the media.
The family has also been torn apart by Meghan's half-sister Samantha Markle, who keeps bad-mouthing Meghan in the media.
Apart from discussing Harry's political views in controversial interviews, he also sold staged photos to the media despite Harry's warning about the paparazzi.
Following all that, Thomas Markle Jr told Daily Mail TV that his wedding would bring everybody closer together. He added:
"It's hopeful that if Meghan and Harry came and my father – Meghan and Harry could spend some time together with him and that would be good."
The couple plans to hold the wedding in either Reno or Las Vegas and said his father would really enjoy seeing Meghan again.
Thomas Jr proposed to Blount in a park near their house after a year and two months of dating. He even went down one knee, she said.
Both Thomas Jr and Blount have been in court before on charges of domestic violence. Read more on our Twitter account, @amomama_usa.
