Mary Bourne Roberts' dream since she was a little girl was to dance with her daddy at her wedding.

Mary and her father, Jim Roberts, would practice around their kitchen, dancing to the song she would one day play for their father-daughter dance.

"It was such a good thing to happen to him. He was overwhelmed with pride and the love he feels for her. It was a great day for him, a beautiful, perfect day for all of us."

BRIDE'S DAD DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER

In May 2017 Roberts was diagnosed with an inoperable glioblastoma.

Glioblastoma is an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer, and doctors weren't sure Roberts would survive until Mary's wedding, scheduled for December 29, 2018.

A DETERMINED FATHER OF THE BRIDE

But doctors hadn't factored in Roberts' determination to attend his little girl's wedding.
