Taraji P Henson got quite a mouthful from fans who were irked by her recent comment comparing Harvey Weinstein and R. Kelly.

In an Instagram story clip, Henson wondered why a search of the hashtag #MuteRKelly produced numerous results while a #MuteWeinstein or #MuteHarveyWeinstein came up short.

The #MuteRKelly hashtag was a response to the release of the documentary series “Surviving R. Kelly” which brought to light the abuses the singer allegedly inflicted on several women who came forward in the film.

Henson seemed to question in her post why Weinstein didn’t get the same #Mute reaction as Kelly. This prompted fans to rain down on her and educate her about the #MuteRKelly movement. A user who goes by the handle M’BlockU enumerated the reasons why her question was illogical.

More tweets chimed in slamming the star for her ignorance.

Even “Surviving R. Kelly” showrunner Dream Hampton put in her two cents.

Taraji’s controversial post has since been deleted and the star who took quite a beating made sure to clarify one thing so there’s no more confusion.

"LET ME BE CLEAR R. KELLY IS GUILTY AND WRONG AND SHOULD BE MUTED PERIOD!!!!!"

For those whose memory is lost on Weinstein, the film producer was arrested in May 2018 for charges of rape and other sex-related crimes. He was forced to step down as CEO of his own company due to the backlash he received. The #MeToo movement was spawned by the scandal along with #TimesUp.

Weinstein posted bail and is now free as he awaits his trial in May. He pled not guilty to five counts of felony sexual assault. His pre-trial conference is scheduled on March 7.
