XXXTentacion's son, Gekyume Onfroy, is born seven months after rapper's death

Murdered rapper XXXtentacion is now a father and reportedly chose his son's special name.

Months after XXXTentasion's murder, his girlfriend, Jenesis Sanchez has given birth to his son.

News outlets have confirmed that the late rapper who was killed by gunmen outside a motorcycle dealership in June is now a father to Gekyume Onfroy.

Though XXXtentacion, (born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy) will no longer be able to exercise his role as a father to his newborn, the rapper reportedly handpicked his name. In a press statement from his mother, Cleopatra Bernard, and his girlfriend, it was revealed the name Gekyume “is derived from a word X created prior to his passing.” The word means “’a different state’ or ‘next’ universe of thought.”

“XXXtentacion specifically chose this name for his first-born son, his family is honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love,” the statement adds.

HIS MURDER

Seven months ago, the 20-year-old was on his way out of a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach when he was shot and killed while inside his vehicle. A Louis Vuitton bag was also reportedly taken from him by the masked gunmen.

In July, four men were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery in connection to the music genius’ death.
