While 37-year-old Meghan got better known for her role as ‘Rachel Zane’ in the series, ‘Suits,’ she trained in the theater and went to Northwestern University where Meghan double majored in international relations and theater.

So it would come as no surprise that Meghan is elated to be the new official royal patron for the National Theatre in London. It was the first of four newly adopted patronages she had paid a visit to since their announcement a little over three weeks ago.

Meghan strongly believes in uniting people through the arts and met with talented apprentices and teams working behind the scenes. She learned about how the theater operates and thoroughly the interaction during her first outing visiting royal patronage.

An old friend of Meghan also happens to be in London, Katharine McPhee recently arrived in London to make her West End debut in the production, ‘Waitress,’ which is set to open at the Adelphi Theatre on February 8, 2019.

Following Meghan’s visit to the National Theatre in London on Wednesday, Katharine posted a previously unseen picture of herself and Meghan together on Thursday to Instagram:

From what appears to be from the year 2000, Katharine and Meghan smilingly stood next to each other with bright red lips, and stage makeup. The two did musicals together while in school and Katherine captioned the image:

“She grew up to be the Duchess of Sussex, and I grew up to star on the West End, so same life if you ask me.”

Meghan worked hard on becoming a successful actress and started as a ‘Deal or No Deal’ briefcase model, got cameo appearances in music video’s until she landed her first Hallmark Channel movie, she got small parts in series and went on to star in a variety of films and series.

In her first music video debut, Meghan appeared in Tori Amos’ hit ‘1000 Ocean’ from 1999. The video got shot on location in a parking lot in Los Angeles, and the now-Duchess earned $600 for her efforts.

Around the time Meghan met Prince Harry, she appeared on one episode of the Food Network as a judge and

while on the show:

“Growing up, my fondest memories, at least for me, were in the kitchen.”

Now as part of the royal family, she had to put that life behind her and appears to enjoy her new role as Duchess.

For her latest engagement, on February 1, the heavily pregnant Meghan and Prince Harry traveled to snowy Bristol where they paid a visit to various organizations supporting communities in need, like the Empire Fighting Chance program, and charity One25.

They also commemorated the newly renovated 18th century Bristol Old Vic theater with the unveiling of a plaque.

Meghan stunned in a $1,813 belted printed silk-chiffon midi dress by Oscar de la Renta worn under a black William Vintage coat as they learned more about the cultural history and organizations during their day trip.
