Mariska Hargitay reportedly thanks lady who made a women empowering cake for her 55th birthday

According to a report, actress Mariska Hargitay personally called the woman behind the women’s empowerment-themed birthday cake she received for her 55th birthday to give thanks.

Hargitay, who is best known for her role as Olivia Benson on the NBC drama series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", dialed the owner of Sweets By Stacy named Stacy-Ann Douge to gush about how fulfilled she was with the chocolate custom-made masterpiece.

“This show has been a true maverick, a true pioneer. That’s why I keep saying that we’re in this beautiful cultural change."

In an interview with The Blast, Douge explained that the cake was made of Nabisco Wafers, whipped cream, milk chocolate ganache and covered in Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

To ensure Hargitay got a bonus, she included strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries.

Douge decided to create women empowering cake for Hargitay's birthday when the actress' assistant revealed her favorite things, including powerful females.

The daughter of actor Mickey Hargitay and actress Jayne Mansfield has frequently discussed how the hit show "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" paved the way for female empowerment.

During a panel in 2018, Hargitay said: “We’ve been talking about sexual assault, domestic abuse and child abuse for 20 years, and I am so deeply incredibly proud of that."

Her role on the drama series also led to her founding the Joyful Heart Foundation, which offers support to women and men who have been sexually abused.

Hargitay has become famous since taking on her role two decades ago. She rose with the show to become one of the highest-paid actresses on TV.
