Chris and Katherine started a relationship in 2018. On January 13, 2019, the "Jurassic World" actor announced through Instagram that he and Katherine were engaged.

"That was really fantastic. She is so happy, they both are so happy," Arnold said. The former governor of California added:

"As I said to him, he is such a likable guy. I love Chris -- he's fantastic."

It has been reported that Chris asked for Arnold and ex-wife Maria Shriver's approval to propose to Katherine, and the "Total Recall" actor apparently confirmed the reports.

"He did it the traditional way," Arnold continued. "He's a wonderful guy. They both look great together, and they're really happy together, so I wish them the best of luck."

Chris was previously married to actress Anna Faris. The former couple announced their split on August 6, 2017, and finalized their divorce the following year.

In a joint statement, Chris and Anna said that they are legally separating and that they tried hard for a long time, but they were really disappointed.

The actor, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his achievements in motion pictures, co-parents his 5-year-old son with Anna.

"They both went on school tours as a family and you'd never know that Anna and Chris were not together. They seemed like a happy couple and a happy family with Jack," a source told Entertainment Tonight.

The source added that the former couple "still laugh and joke together and have seemed to have found a nice friendship as they co-parent."
