The comment section was littered with congratulatory messages and others of the "TODAY" family shared supportive posts.

Cohen's caption read:

"WOW! This is my son. Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is 9 lbs 2 ounces !! 20 inches !! Born at 6:35 pm, PT."

The former radio host explained the name selection for baby Benjamin:

"He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow."

The "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" host announced the big news that he was expecting about six weeks before Benjamin arrived.

In the December episode, he said to his audience:

"After many years of careful deliberation, fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future."

A few days later on New Year's Eve, the Emmy winner revealed the sex of the baby as he told CNN's Anderson Cooper: "I can not wait to meet this boy."

He said:

"When I was growing up, and when we were growing up … I just never thought it would be possible as a gay man to grow up and have a family. And here we are in 2018, almost ‘19, and anything’s possible. And I’m so grateful to a wonderful surrogate that I’m working with.”

In subsequent segments of his show, Cohen received numerous gifts for little Benjamin. Maris Osmand gifted him a Snoopy and Woodstock onesie.

Model Chrissy Teigen and Singer John Legend came up with a milk bottle shotski. RuPaul gave Cohen none other than a RuPaul doll for the child.

Musician John Mayer and fellow talk show host gave Cohen a wooden guitar while reality star Nene Leakes handed over a "baby's first wig."

At the baby shower, things really got crazy when tons of "Real Housewives" stars celebrated with Cohen. In an Instagram shot he shared, Cohen was again "speechless" with the turnout.

His best friend John Mayer was also present for the lavish affair. The theme came from the movie "A Star is Born" which came out last year.

Cohen said:

"It was the Marvel superheroes all coming together under one roof."

After that grand event, we're happy to congratulate Cohen on his mini superhero and wish the little one the best of health as he gets bigger.
