Сardi B wants to have another baby with husband Offset but knows ‘it’s not that easy’
Cardi B has been basking in the joy of motherhood for the past six months, and now the rapper revealed she wants to have more kids. However, with her difficult schedule and her rocky relationship with husband Offset, things aren’t that easy for the hip hop star.
Cardi B is the star of the moment. She just announced her Las Vegas residency, is nominated for five Grammy Awards, made her debut as the new image of Pepsi during the Super Bowl commercials, and is dominating the entertainment industry.
On top of that, the 26-year-old Bronx native is a mom to daughter Kulture Kiari, 6-months, whom she shares with husband Offset.
ON HAVING MORE KIDS
Cardi recently opened to People about motherhood and wanting more kids, while she visited Atlanta to reunite with Offset and take the city by storm with several performances surrounding the Super Bowl party.
The rapper revealed she wants to give her daughter a sibling, but she’s not ready for another baby. Not yet.
“I want a second child, but I got so much things to do first. It’s like, I want to learn more, you know?” she said. “It’s not that easy to have a child, so you just want to learn more and more and the process and wait ’til they get a little bit bigger.”
Cardi says that a baby requires 24/7 attention, so just imagining having two feels like a lot. “That’s why when people have twins, I honestly… I don’t know how [they do] it. It’s hard!” she added.
ON MOTHERHOOD LESSONS
A protective mom, Cardi has kept baby Kulture away from social media for the most part. She has only shared a pic of the baby’s face, and she thinks if for the best.
But what she does like to share, is the motherhood lessons she has learned. For example, babies don’t care how expensive their clothes are, as she joked about Kulture:
“She has so much name brands, and she just throws up in all of them.”
And continued:
“She always ends up [wearing] Target pajamas. I look at every video and pictures, and she got Target pajamas! By the time I take a picture we want [of her in] very pretty, expensive clothes, she throws up on it, she s***s on it, or she drools all over it. Things never go as you plan.”
ON HER RELATIONSHIP WITH OFFSET
Talking about plans, Cardi also revealed the status of her relationship with Offset, after she announced their split on social media last December. The attention from the public and the media has taken a toll on the couple, and now Cardi has a clear stance about it:
“My relationship — my marriage — is not for them. It’s not for them,” she said. “It’s very personal.”
The rapper said they are taking things slow and their focus is entirely on baby Kulture.
“I hang out with him, I talk to him every day, and we do our thing,” she said of the Migos rapper. “It’s just like — to make things perfect… it takes time. You know, f*****g and hanging out doesn’t mean that you guys are on a perfect note, it takes time. It takes time. And it’s a marriage, and there’s a child involved and family involved.”
Cardi and Offset secretly tied the knot in September 2017, a month before he proposed on stage at a festival in Philadelphia.
She recently slammed rumors about relinking her relationship with the rapper, and even though she hasn’t specified what’s the status of their relationship, Cardi said on a GMA interview “I feel we're going to be all right.”
