Jon Gosselin shared a sweet new photo taken with his beloved son Collin

Former reality television star Jon Gosselin spent the weekend with his son Collin and delighted Instagram fans with photos.

The 41-year-old "Kate Plus" star shared photos of the 14-year-old Colin with his 92,000 Instagram followers and wrote in the caption:

"Great weekend with Collin and Colleen, Philly Auto Show and The beach!"

Colleen Conrod is his girlfriend, and her two children – Jordan and Jesse Conrad – also joined Collin and Jon for the weekend's festivities.

Fans will recall that Jon received temporary sole legal and physical custody of Collin back in December, three months after he filed.

Collin has been somewhat of a mystery and disappeared from the public eye for a few months. Jon was frantic because he did not know where Collin was.

Kate Gosselin – Collin's mother and Jon's ex-wife – had sent Collin to a school for children with special needs, but refused to share details about his "special needs."

Kate's decision started a media frenzy and fans were concerned about Collin's wellbeing. During this time, Collin's sister Hannah also began spending more time with Jon.

Collin then made a rare appearance on his 14th birthday. Both Jon and Hannah shared snapshots of the happy reunion with Instagram followers.

Kate, who loves sharing photos of the sextuplets and twins, posted an unusual photo on Instagram during the Superbowl.

She gave her followers a glimpse of the snack table she had laid out for the Superbowl and wrote in the caption:

"Yet another Super Bowl together! Celebrating togetherness, making memories! Yum! #LastSuperbowlBeforeCollege."

Her fans found it strange that Kate didn't share any photos of the children, with one user questioning if they were really with their mother.

A user known only as Susannah asked if it was a clever photo op to hide the fact that Kate was alone, while another user simply remarked: "No Kids. Odd..."

The Gosselin family is most famously known for the reality TV show, "Kate & Jon Plus 8." The show was renamed to "Kate Plus 8" after Kate and Jon filed for divorce in 2009.

Their network canceled the show soon after the divorce, claiming that Kate and Jon lost sight of the show's aim. The last episodes were aired in 2011.
