Melissa McCarthy stunned in an elegant black dress at the BAFTA red carpet.

Melissa McCarthy is living one of the high points of her career. The actress has been a feature in red carpets around the world at award ceremonies due to her work in "Can You Ever Forgive Me."

After the SAG Awards, Golden Globes, and Oscar pre-parties, McCarthy strutted her stuff at the prestigious BAFTA at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

The actress had been nominated for the Best Actress Bafta for her role in "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" but lost to Olivia Colman who played Queen Ann in "The Favourite."

She did, however, steal the spotlight on the red carpet in an elegant glittering black gown that showed off her recent weight loss.

McCarthy dazzled in true Hollywood style, with her shoulder-length hair slicked back, emphasizing her famous smoky green eyes.

The actress sported a dazzling pair of chandelier earrings and finished off her glamorous look with bright red lipstick.

McCarthy can add to her roll of accolades a nomination for the coveted Best Actress Award at the 2019 Oscars.

Her co-star in "Can You Ever Forgive Me?", Richard E. Grant has also been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

McCarthy plays the part of Lee Israel, a celebrity biographer who had published books about Tallulah Bankhead and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen.

Israel resorted first to the theft, and then the forgery of celebrity letters when her career crashed.
