Alicia Keys stuns people, playing 2 pianos at once
This year Alicia Keys had the honor of hosting the Grammy Awards. Besides her incredible opening with Lady Gaga, Vanessa Williams, Michelle Obama, and Jennifer Lopez; her performances also stunned that watching.
Alicia performed multiple times throughout the event, but there is one performance from that night that stands out in particular.
The performance consisted of a medley of songs, which she dedicated to the jazz artist Hazel Scott. What made the performance memorable is that she played two pianos at once, which blew people’s minds.
A PAIR OF PIANOS
Before her performance she gave a short speech about what music means to her and all the great artists who have gone before her:
“You know those songs that live inside of you and live inside of me, and you just love it so much, because it was done so well that you wish you wrote it? That's how I feel about these songs. I wish I wrote them.”
The songs in the medley included “Lucid Dreams” by Juice World, “Killing Me Softly” by Roberta Flack, and “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole.
Besides the applause Alicia received from her fellow artists in attendance, she also received praise from fans on Twitter who were watching the show at home.
