Alicia Keys' blended family lives life to the fullest in fun vacation pics from Egypt
Photos from Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys' family vacation reveal the harmony they've established within their blended family. Not only are all five of Beatz's kids with them, but his ex-wife also joined them and even shared a photo with Keys.
Swizz Beatz and his wife Alicia Keys are vacationing in Egypt and so is the rest of their blended family, including Mashonda Tifrere, Beatz’s ex and mother of his son, Kaseem, Jr.
It’s no secret Beatz (born Kaseem Dean) and Tifrere have maintained a special co-parenting relationship, a feat Beatz’s former wife used as a foundation for her book “Blend: The Secret to Co-Parenting and Creating a Balanced Family.” With Keys’ support, the three parents have managed to co-exist peacefully for the sake of their children. Apart from Kaseem, Jr., Beatz is also father to his two boys with Keys, Egypt, 7, and Genesis, 3. He also sired two other children from previous relationships – Prince Nassir, 18, and only daughter Nicole, 10.
Photos from the family’s Egyptian vacation reveal all of Beatz’s children present including his ex-wife who stood next to Keys in a photo Beatz shared. He used the snap to remind his followers that a family trip like his only has “good vibes.” In his caption, he wrote,
“Family trip Good vibes Good energy aka grown people shit #Kemet #positive vibes.”
In another photo, Beatz featured all his five children posing against the backdrop of pyramids and said,
“Nechest = Spiritual awakening we must teach the youth it’s very important.”
And because his eldest son with Keys is named Egypt, Beatz also took the opportunity to get some alone time with him to show him “how he got his name.” The singer shared a photo of the two of them riding a motorbike in the middle of the desert.
Of course, Beatz also made sure his queen got his undivided attention at one point, by holding up an umbrella for her while she sat on a pile of rocks. Beatz directed his caption to all men and reminded them not to feel threatened by a successful wife.
“Attention all MEN!! ou shouldn’t be jealous or upset if you have a Queen that’s successful, Smarter or better than you! What you should do is thank the most high or step your game up! I can’t stand when I see brothers jealous of the lady they’re with that shit is very weak!!!!! #Realtalk Lady’s keep doing you.”
He reiterated this point when he shared another photo of him and his wife and said,
“Every King need a Queen that’s better than him FACTS.”
Beatz’s recent family trip is a testament to the successful relationship he’s developed among his children, thanks to the maturity of their father and their mothers in making the best of their blended situation. According to Tifrere in her book, it all began when her son asked her six years ago why she and his father didn’t like each other anymore because he noticed there was no longer any communication between them. This became a wake-up call for the author who realized it was important to have a good relationship with her ex for the sake of their son.
Luckily for her, Keys was on board and even released a song “Blended Family (What You Do For Love)” as a tribute to their commitment to co-parenting their children. It must have not been easy for both women to come into terms especially after their messy start. Beatz married an already pregnant Keys just months after his divorce from Tifrere was finalized in May 2010. However, seeing they even travel together now, the Dean family proves anything is possible with love at the center of your intentions.
Beatz is proud of all his children and would often post about them. A week ago, he shared a snap of all his four boys together. A few months back, he also gushed about his daughter’s dance prowess sharing a video of her showcasing her talent on the dance floor on her 10th birthday.
If there’s one thing men can learn from this family man it’s that fatherhood is a commitment and it’s meant to be shared with the mother of your children whether you’re still together or not.
