"Law & Order: SVU" star Philip Winchester shared an adorable picture of his new baby less than a day after letting fans know he was expecting.

The 37-year-old and his wife Megan Coughlin are now a family of four. They welcomed their newborn on Thursday and the little one is just precious.

In the photo, he lay bright-eyed and open-mouthed on his mother's chest. His sister Charlie appeared in the background with a lollipop in mouth, as did Coughlin.

Winchester and his wife's first daughter was born in 2015. The couple married in 2008, 10 years after Winchester began his career with a role in "The Patriot."

Winchester soon left the big screen to work on crime shows including "Chicago P.D.," "Chicago Justice," Chicago Med," and then "Law and Order: SVU."

He met his wife back in Belgrade High School, Montana. Just hours before becoming a father of two, Winchester took to Instagram to make the announcement with a picture of his wife wearing a hospital gown.

In the caption, he simply wrote: "Game Time! #baby2 #strongmomma #soon."

Last year, Winchester's character was not exactly well-liked when he entered as Peter Stone, the same role as his "Chicago Justice" character. He and the beloved Lieutenant Olivia Benson butt heads right away.

At the time, Winchester said that he had "big shoes to fill." Indeed, he was replacing the show's District Attorney Rafael Barba. Still, he liked how his character now has a deeper backstory.

In the show's most recent episode, fans were jolted by the ending. Winchester as Stone thought the case involving a murdered abusive husband is straightforward, but this is not so.

The detectives are split as to what should happen to the wife who has confessed to the killing. Even Benson is in disagreement with Amanda Rollins. Ultimately, a decision is made in the court.

We wish Winchester and his new baby a lifetime of health and happiness, and we look forward to the next episode of our favorite crime show.
